Yup as always Christmas is sooo fun and it was till the end! So from the fam party to Christmas day it was crazy busy! So of course the reason for the picture OVERLOAD! It was so fun to see Logan getting it more this year(watch the video..so funny!) and Emma just loving the tree lights and Logan loving to plug and unplug them all day..

Emma is 4 months!

Emma is rolling, babbling, makes bubbles with her mouth and sticks her tongue out(I got a funny video of that i will have to put up later) she is a major I like to stick out my tongue baby! She is sucking her thumb! (I just think its too cute..) She smiles a ton especially at big brother Logan even when he's not talking to her(she watches him like a hawk..prob gonna whack him back one day..watch out Logan..we will be in trouble when she starts walking..) she loves to sit up. She will let you know when she does not want to lay down or she will fuss till she finds a happy spot..a lot of the times she would rather be standing..so she's a mover. she has been a wiggler since she was born! She loves her daddy and just loves to stare at him.. we just love this little girl..

plus I got Logan checked out today too just in case cuz he has had a cough especially at night(good thing Triaminic helped him sleep like a rock last night:) and he was already 26.2 lbs already a pound bigger than 2 yr checkup..so glad the kid can put on some

weight! and just a cold so not bad..yeah! no big sickies for the holidays!

just had to add..love that she got tweety bandaids after her shots..I LOVE TWEETY! plus gotta love those chunky thighs!

Christ is the REASON

So I have this cute little Willow Tree..I set it up on our cute shelf in our new place..and I realized later I put it in a perfect spot because we can see it straight across from our rocker. And I just stare at it when I'm nursing Emma, rocking Logan. And its just been hitting me how much meaning is in this picture. Joseph & Mary holding the Christ Child. I love how they are cradling him and how they are so close together. Almost like they truly knew, even then, the significance of his mission, as he even taught them.. the name on this plaque is Holy Family-A Child is born. I love how willow trees have that...What perfect words for this scenario!

So my thoughts just keep on thinking, as I stare at this, the reason for this season, this CHRISTmas time is him.. the christ child, the one who gave us all, the ATONEMENT, I sooo want to become like him, the one we need to be praising this time of year and all year long...

yes we are still alive..yes its been a crazy couple of weeks..yes we are still catching up on sleep from some late nights of getting things organized..a big thank you for all the help from family!(mom,leah,max,chloe,bamma:) if I forgot you in this list and the help that you were. sorry! we do remember and are so grateful for the help! (oh ya Linda Ricks for a meal, Joyce Jensen for helping cleaning!, Katy Willis too:) and all the guys from the ward that came to help! It truly is amazing to see the help coming when you need it. Moving in 6 days is craziness.. so we knew we would be moving to IF by Jan because the townhome was posted but all of a sudden a couple of people came to look the day before Logans bday and later that day i get a call from the property management saying "Wanna move tomorrow?" My response "Not until we have my boys bday tomorrow" and he was not joking cuz the guy was signing a lease and we started packing the next day! wow I thought I would be stressing and thinking how can I do this with 2 kiddos and not stress them out?? but help was there with packing and more..it all fell into place..we got the place we had looked at that we liked and we are now in Idaho Falls! its a shocker to go from Rexburg for 9 years to big ol IF! But we are adjusting well and feeling good here in our new home and the kids are doing great! Logan is saying " I like new home" a lot. so glad they are doing well and actually they have slept well in a new place..( Logan has had a few restless nights) but really overall we are settling in, liked our new ward and this is where we need to be right now..

What??? Our little boy is 2?? I can't believe how fast it has gone.. I know we always say that. but really its crazy..it feels like yesterday I was pregnant, then going to the hospital and holding our 1st baby! And he is not a baby anymore, he's a toddler and a talking like crazy, funny, dancing, laughing, smart, car loving, train loving, monkey loving, keeps us laughing all the time, boy! This year was so much more fun for him since he was starting to really get what was going on (remember last year he cried when we sang to him..) So it was just so fun to see him actually open presents, get excited and want to open them right away (and was bummed when mommy said "Lets open them all 1st then play with them all!") He was saying what almost everything was-- nerf gun, cars, guitar, playdo...He just had so much fun! When you asked him what he was getting for his bday before the party started he would say "cake" and when you asked how old he was he would say "old" He didn't even eat the piggy I made him until everyone left cuz he was so excited to play! So after everyone left we got him in the bumbo to eat his piggy and he licked it and looked so tired (of course he didn't take a nap today) but he was still wired off his fun party and kept on going like the energizer bunny (thats what happens when your past tired right?) that we really could not get him to bed..so Jesse finally asked "Can I just take him for a drive now?" Sounds like a good idea..and Jesse was back in 10 minutes with a crashed out Logan! Happy bday Mr. Logan!

I just love Halloween! I dont really care for the gore and scary stuff anymore but I love dressing up! So we had tons of fun this year and I wanna keep up the theme thing as a family till my mom and I really can't think of an idea or my kids are too cool for that anymore..so this year it was 2 little cute spiders and we are the cobweb. well daddy was not home from work yet to dress up with us so bummer! but we had fun at World gyms trunk or treat and the church trunk or treat. Logan started to catch on that he could get some candy at every trunk and keep on getting more.

Emma's Baby Blessing

Emma's baby blessing was so amazing! Its so cool to go through this experience again with our 2nd child. She wore my baby blessing dress so that was really cool to see her in that. To hear her blessing and to hope the best for her and for her to live a happy life in the gospel. We hope she finds that joy in the gospel and in KNOWING that she is a daughter of God. I hope she KNOWS that WAY sooner than I did..

Motherhood

As I was listening to conference and loving the messages and things that I needed to hear this talk from Neil L. Anderson really hit me and it wasn't something I was looking for and this quote really hit me because as hard as it can be to be a mother. I'm grateful and hoping, praying each day to do the best I can...so it put it into a totally different perspective to me to think of motherhood as a calling! That since we are blessed with children on this earth saying motherhood is a "calling" makes me want to work a little harder on being a mother.

My sister Aub came to do Emmas newborn photos. It has been fun to do these with Aub since she did them with Logan too. so hopefully we can continue this fun tradition! They turned out so good and Emma did really good till after a while of course when she was "done" since we wiggled her enough! She is a beauty and so photogenic..

Our Little Man

Its hard to believe how fast our little man is growing up.. and to see how much bigger he seems now that we have this little baby girl in our home now. Its so exciting that he is doing so many new things now and more personality is coming out but at the same time so sad that he really is growing up that fast and it does not seem like we can soak it up enough! Even his feet seem bigger and his hands and his face. Even as I was changing his diaper the other day his bum seems bigger! Come on it didn't seem big a few weeks ago! Well compared to a little 6 lb baby bum..it seems huge. So really he will grow more and more each day but I hope he knows he will still and always be our little man..

Weight: 6 lbs 10 oz puts her in 10%, so happy to see this weight gain! going from birth at 6 lbs 7 oz, dropping to 6 lbs 2 oz like normal then back up and some more made my day to know she is doing well getting some weight on her!

Head:(I never really pay attention to this measurement cuz hey if there head looks good it looks good eh?) 13.8" 30 %

So got some eye drops for her eye goobers that are off and on, just wanna prevent that from sticking around as much as possible and rubbing her tear duct to help. So sometimes her eyes look better.

So all in all Emma is doing great and everything looks great.Can't believe our baby girl will be 2 weeks on monday! crazy..time really does fly when your having fun!!

She actually kinda scares us cuz she is such a wiggler and will whip her head back before you know it and has rolled over twice! No really! She loves being on her side so on the couch and at the docs office somehow she got over that arm and was on her belly! Well no leaving her alone! Crazy girl! So Logan was not that wiggly when he was newborn till he rolled and crawled later on...so my thoughts are..Logan is now very active and everywhere! so will Emma get calmer as she gets older or will she be even more active and hyper than Logan...we will see.. if she turns out like her mommy.. ha ha..

I was wondering and hoping when Logan would warm up to Emma and love her. At first at the hospital he wanted nothing to do with her..which I figured but later that day he came up to me and said "Mommy, baby" that was so sweet to hear and so he came up on the bed and wanted to touch her face and go through the features like her eyes, nose, ears,etc. as you can see in the pictures. It was so sweet as he kissed her face. He will be such a good big brother. He has been so good at home as I need rest. We are really blessed with amazing children!

Emma Marie Rooney

Emma Marie came Monday, Aug 22nd at 4:03 am! She weighed in at 6 lbs 7 oz. Logan was 7 lbs 6 oz so I was shocked to get a smaller baby with the 2nd. She was so alert and screaming we could definetaly hear her! It was so amazing to go through this experience again when they place your baby on your chest and you feel empowered again and you are blessed to bring life again. It truly is a miracle. As I went through a natural birth this time it was a very different experience and an emotional experience. It was so amazing to see an more alert baby, and I was not half drugged up and out of it.. don't get me wrong Logans labor was just as exciting. This was just a whole new experience and was hard yet so good at the same time. The crazy thing was once my contractions came closer at midnight on Monday by 1 we were counting them and by 2:30 heading to Grandmas to drop off Logan once my water broke at home and headed to the hospital and Emma was here at 4:03 am crazy fast! It is amazing how the 2nd labor can be faster! When we got to the hospital I was all ready to push. that was exciting since I was doing as much as I could at home so that was almost a crying relief at the hospital to be that far along. so glad she is here happy, healthy and we are so happy to be a family of 4 now!

To have these little flowers to brighten up the kitchen was so needed today! I feel so blah, prego, depressed at times and just so pooped is the perfect word at these final days of this pregnancy..It's no fun feeling BLAH..so on a happy note to come downstairs this morning to see flowers Jesse dropped by while he had a break from work that he had picked out in a field. Oh I just love him! those little things you do that come so quietly..thank you again and again..

38 WEEKS

Wow! Just can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone and before we know it this little girl will bring more into our home that will bless us again. ALL kinds of thoughts go through my mind of hopes..hoping all will go well with this labor, that we will adjust well to a family of four not three!, that Logan will adjust well and still know he is loved and gets to be the big brother, heres to hoping all WILL go well and soon I won't have my big prego belly and can breathe again!

Baby shower was so much fun! Thanks to my mom, Chloe, Jaime and Aub(thanks so much!!)for putting it together and it was great! It was so good to have friends and family stop by and to top it off with yummy pink lemonade cupcakes(perfect for the girl theme..), and veggies. We got lots of stuff we sooo needed and are so grateful for the help! It was so fun to see what the girls did to the onesies to decorate them and help me out with cute bows(since I have been slacking). Our little girl will be so cute in her outfits!

How did I forget to post about this!? Hello fun day I put the pics on my computer and was posting so many posts that I had not done yet and I realized as I was going through pics I didn't post about the 4th and there was so many fun pics I still have to even though its WAY behind..oh well.. so the 4th was fun like usual with parade in the morning. good to be with family and see friends! Logan was a little more into the parade and we tried to get some candy for him but most of it I didn't want him gagging on..sorry bud..love you too much..but it was fun to just hang out and enjoy the sun! Then later cooked up stuff for the family dinner later while Logan napped and then went to see Monte Carlo with my mom, Jaime and Aub. cute movie..then got logan ready to swim in the kiddie pool with jacob and play till family dinner and fireworks. all in all of course of day of fun!

Air Show 2011

We had to take Logan to the Rexburg Air Show at the Legacy Flight Museum since he sees the airplanes fly over our place all the time and loves them! So he definitely had fun like we expected and was going around everywhere to see all the planes they had displayed. He loved the "big" planes as he pointed them out and the nice classic cars. Then he had to dance to the jazz band that was playing. He was cute and funny like always.

Haircut time!

Logans hair before a haircut..

Logan did awesome for his first haircut! WOOHOO! We just did scissors to chop the mullet coming on..and take some inches off since it was getting a little crazy and to just "clean it up". Didn't know what to expect of course so we got toys, books to keep him busy and he sat in daddy's lap and was really still for the first part, he didn't even look back as I was cutting his neck line. He wiggled at the end and we kept him going with books and of course the spray bottle which he would keep on spraying till he has drenched the whole floor if we let him. So he did great. fast haircut in 15 minutes. so not perfect but he looks so handsome and didn't even cry!

(Yup I'm a little behind blogs when some of these things really happened but I have found the time now to get some done..slowly but surely...)

So Logan had a blast at the zoo.. he was everywhere.. he even scuffed his knee one time when he was running too fast for himself(he does that a lot,always has a scratch on his knee). He loved everything and nothing scared him...it was so fun to watch the penguins get fed.. and all the unique animals you forget about..I'm so glad he had so much fun!

Ya this monkey was crazy everywhere and was hilarious entertainment! Ya thats the crazy monkey in the skylight..

POOP! AGAIN??

So for the I don't know how many times now Logan likes to poop in the bath. So as he pooped in the bath tonight, first I wonder

1. Why does he never poop when Jesse is giving him a bath???

2. Is this major payback for apparently the number of times I did this to my mom whenever I got in water

3. You know I guess the water and relaxation of water could relax you and it just slips out I guess..

4. I'm so grateful for a patient, calm husband who calmly helps out and sees the best way to handle the scenario.

So as I am playing with Logan, talking to Jesse, Logan is having a good ol time in the bath like usual a huge poop goes floating across the scene! My FIRST reaction, getting angry "Why did you poop again for mommy????" Jesse comes right over to help and brings up the point that this is one of those moments that the more we freak or get mad the more he may do it or just be wondering why he is such a bad boy for just pooping when he was so comfortable right? so it was a good reminder and along with other thoughts on my mind from today to realize the times we can get angry or do outrageous things and really its not that big of a deal(yes if Logan starts running around the house pooping and laughing..consequences are coming.) but really I ask myself next time.." Did they do this on purpose? and "Is it really that big of a deal?" so we laugh, move on and say "Logan you pooped! , the poop goes in the toilet, not in the bath.."(He kinda gave a look of Ok...right..) We get him out and move on for the night.(Note: We actually have a kitchen strainer specifically for poop scooping the bath in his bathroom.)

Those Precious Little Ones

As I was babysitting Lillie, Kallie along with my boy. The oldest Lillie decided to get a spoon out of the drawer to play with so, like usually the younger ones followed with Kallie wanting and getting a spoon and Logan wanting one right after and getting one too. As I was sitting and watching them Lilly started to "feed" me something. So I took the spoon and pretended to eat. So I said "Yummy! Are you cooking?" and so Kallie and Logan started to follow and "cook" and pick up whatever on the ground and "feed" me. It was hilarious! I was having a good ol time being fed there food. Logan always says eggs since I let him help me cook whenever I can without it being a dangerous situation and he gets to crack the eggs. And so to make it even better they had half an easter egg sitting in the frontroom so they started to eat out of the egg. so it continued for a few minutes before they moved onto the next game. I continued to give them compliments and say "Yummy!" with enthusiasm to make them feel special which I love seeing the faces and laughs they gave as we played(the ages are 18 months, 19 months, and 3 years old). So really what this is all about is...how amazing it is to really "behold" these little ones and see how they are really teaching us about the simple things in life and what really matters, whatever simple thing you need to learn at the moment.. at this moment I needed to remember that just being there is important, playing is important, "play is a childs work" ,and really what we need to do is just "behold" these little ones..

Our little man is 18 months old!?? I can't believe how fast time goes.. I know we always say that but really is seems like yesterday that Logan was born and our lives are changed for the better! So here is some of what Logan is up to now-

Height-33 inches

Weight-22 lbs 6 oz-he made it over 20 pounds finally!(I didn't mind the lighter baby.)

-says daddy(it was so cute one day jesse was working on him to say it and he got it and was pacing up and down the hallway saying dad-dy, dad-dy. it was adorable! now gotta get mommy down but mom is good too.

-calls an airplane ee(just like saying the letter e) and signs it whenever one goes by and as long as they don't come too low it wont scare him.

-calls mommy mom or ma, grandma mah, and max ma so it gets a little confusing who he is talking about there.

-he calls his Aunt Aub "ah"

-loves goldfish still and calls them gol or fish

-loves to see fish at the store or loves dogs just does not want them to come too close to him but got him to pet a dog so he is getting more comfortable

-likes to smell flowers

-loves talking on the phone

-started to try wearing our shoes around the house

-hates seeing daddy leave to work its a big ordeal to say goodbye to daddy, give kisses and hug and emphasize daddy will come back and then he gets to push the garage button when he leaves(and Jesse thought that day would never come when Logan wanted daddy more)

-loves to dance still! we will see if he will be a dancer in the future! he has some pretty sweet moves and spins now and plays ring around the rosies and falls down.

-loves to read.. I hope he continues to love books!

-loves doing wheels on the bus and can do the hands for the wheels, "move on back", the wipers on the bus, the kids going yak yak, and the mommies say shh, shh (it was so cute the day he just wanted to show us the wheels on the bus. gotta love it)

-you know maybe I'm done making my huge list of how much we love this little boy and how much his personality is coming out( I hope that brain of his is smarter than us) and we love how active, playful and how much he loves being outside!

Easter was fun with family stuffing our faces, doing the egg hunt which Logan searched for his eggs while I was all enthusiastic "Logan look an egg!" and sometimes he would go grab it so it was fun and ended up pulling Logan around in a wagon but Logan found his eggs fast! And most important of all this is another time of the year we can celebrate Christ all week and think of all he has done for us and will continue to do for us as we think of his resurrection and all that he has given us.. hope..peace..love..eternal life.. Its good to have this week to remember..

Baby Girl!

On Monday we finally got to find out what we are having! yup a little girl!.. then my thought is Logan got hair that I was not expecting cuz I was a baldy till 2 so now is my girl gonna be the baldy and Logan can have ponytails done with his hair.. well we will see when she comes.. just so excited that we are blessed with another baby and love seeing that ultrasound and the heartbeat gets me everytime! Its just too amazing to me to see that little miracle in my belly.. how it fits in there still amazes me! and all I have to say is that girl would not wake up for anything so they could see her heart and other measurements better..with finger pushing and all she would not wake for an hour..must of been nap time..but all is well and healthy and they said in the 40% for weight so we will see where that puts her at when she comes! We are so excited and since Jesse never grew up with a sister he is a little nervous but so excited to see him have his little girl. can't wait to see her!

Funny Story..

So it was one of those moments that I grabbed Logans journal to put in a story I didn't want to forget(plus I could use it to embaress him when he is older! ha ha jk.. sad I just thought of that like when your parents embaressed you... maybe to share with him and laugh..)where I put in it thoughts, his growth, words and whatever in it...so here it goes..

So I'm getting Logans bath ready and his naked little bum is just dying to get in the bath and play. When all of a sudden I hear a noise..a trickling noise.. Once I really heard it and realized what it could be. I look over to my cute naked boy and see he is peeing and of course I say the obvious "You're peeing!" and he just looks at me like duh..(and in the background Jesse,who was taking a little power nap, is laughing.classic..)he's luckily done pretty quick and also got it mostly on the bathroom rug and a little on the edge of the tub. So it made it a nice, easy cleanup to just throw the rug in the wash and sanitize the floor and area..So I thanked Logan it was a easy cleanup for mommy.

Also Logan is getting walking down, is saying a chunk of words like car, snack, bug(he says this a lot), mama, dada, cup, cheese, dat (for I dont know what sometimes or when he wants more he says that),uh I think thats it and I'm finding that I can find out my childs language somehow and figure out what they are trying to say for the most part.. ha ha.. I have done some sign with him to stop some frustration in finding out what he wants so he does cup, more(sometimes), finished, cheese, eat, so I hope to add more cuz he caught on so quick and it makes it so much easier! He loves being outside which it difficult when its negative so nice days we are out there! He loves to play drive the steering wheel in our car. daddy did that once and he was hooked! he loves walking and just being outside and seeing airplanes and dogs(he will make me find the dog that is barking by pointing and saying dog till I get to it.) so far he has no fear of pets and will pet them and let them lick his face. thats good since one day Jesse wants a dog. He likes to sing with mommy when we listen to songs and loves to dance! I have to say he has some moves and family can second that! All in all Logan is one fun boy and we love seeing the new things he does every day!

Ok I know I know I'm way late on this so here it goes..Our little boy has hit the one year mark and I still can't believe it! It seems like yesterday he was coming to us as we got to the hospital(as I'm crying thinking Ah I'm going to have a baby!, I was fine once I got there.) and I was realizing the blessing of an epidural as I slept through contractions and Jesse watched how big they were (as he told me later) and before I knew it Logan was here and I was half out of it (that happens when you are tired, hungry). I laugh as I remember trying to talk to Chloe on the phone and almost falling asleep. Its so fun to look back and remember the family coming to visit. It really is unreal to think of the blessing a baby brings to so many and how grateful I am that Heavenly Father is trusting me to try my best to be the best mommie I can be! So here is to our sweet baby, now toddler Logan and looking back at how he has grown.

Yup we had tons of fun being Tarzan, Jane and monkey! And I have to say Logan was one cute monkey and that costume kept him nice and warm! I love dressing up so it was fun getting ready...maybe not as much for Jesse in that skirt but I was so proud of him to wear it anyways(with pants underneath) to the ward trunk or treat.. it was so fun to hand out candy and see some awesome costumes! And seeing the fam and how everybody dressed up! Happy Halloween!

A friend of mine put this up on facebook and i loved it! Being a mom can be hard but at the same time so fun to just be there with your baby and let them play, crawl all over you, drool all over your face, watch them look at books so curious(I love this!), try to talk to you by yelling Da! and grunt a million times, playing peek-a-boo, playing outside and see how many rocks he can eat like Cheerios if you don't get to him quick enough, playing the piano(Logan loves this...he gets mad when you take him away!),loves reading books with Mommy and Daddy(daddy is a lot cooler cuz he is so animated for reading time), and get into everything they are not supposed too.

..the list could go on but yup being a mom is awesome! Soak up moments with everyone in your life!

Ok explanation..for those of you that have seen my face.. it's is unique and special in so many ways.. ha ha.. well my family for sure knows it well and while you may make fun of it or think I have issues it is funny and makes you laugh! So my boy has the signature face in his blood obviously cuz he can make the same face! And it took Aubrey forever to get this down for years..(I love you Aub don't be mad..I don't know if it really took years..wait..it did..) So he makes the face when we get him after a nap and follows with a smile or sometimes randomly throughout the day. So this should hopefully explain the pics and the video.. I really hope I didn't totally embarass myself but its so funny and keeps us laughing every day!

Ok its not that bad..but really teething is here! Ok, Logan is 8 1/2 months old and most babies get teeth well before this age(believe me I'm glad he didn't get teeth till now just in case he tries to bite me while nursing..ouch..) But it does not seem real as each stage seems to come and go faster..too fast..! I know it's my 1st so everything is so new & exciting! So his 1st tooth(the cuspid, upper right) is the vampire tooth! Did not expect that one to come first. (And with the popularity of vampires right now Logan wanted to join the crowd..) Then a few days later I could feel one pokey one on the bottom in the middle. So the bummer..Logan usually gives us kisses on the cheek which we love but sometimes gnaws(which must of been a nice teether) but can't do that now cuz it hurts with the vampire fang.. so hopefully I didn't create a biter..so cheers to happy teething!

Yup Aubs hair looks hilarious in this pic..

Yup it was a blast to get to Lagoon again.. since I was prego last year we had to go this year. Getting on almost all the rides... not gonna do the kiddies rides.. duh.. you have to admit Lagoon is pretty good for all that we have close by.. And to top it off like usual we gotta do the sky coaster! I think it was my 5th time.. and it always is a great rush so this year it was me, Chloe and Eden. And Aub went with Jaime and Isaac. I love sky coaster! So the plan is next year to do the Catapult...so we will see who will go with me!

Yup had a super amazing time for the 4th! Good times at the parade, paintin

g toenails, walking around the park, eating Bajios...yummy like usual..., being with family and of course gotta do the BBQ with chicken, hamburgers and hotdogs and yummy salads.. yes it has become the tradition for me to always make the frog eye salad...so yummy... Fireworks were awesome and fun just hanging around watching. We took Logan inside for a bit since all the noises and craziness of the day and not good naps were catching up to him so we were hanging inside Bamma's house with daddy to let him crawl around. The fireworks only scared him a few times, they scared him worse looking out the window seeing random flashes of light.

So all together it was a great day and I didn't even have to try to get some candies for Max and Chloe since one got thrown into the stroller and an otter pop was thrown at my arm.. funny..

And one moment I have to say was the keeper of the day was while we were inside playing with Logan I got on the piano to play.. Logan already likes the piano.. mostly to bang on it and sing

(yup he is already ready for American Idol) and if you take him away from the piano he grunts to let you know he is not done.. love it, so cute.. so as I'm playing my great grandma comes over to

play and she is an amazing piano player as we all know and she adds all these cool notes to the

basic hymns I was playing and helped give me pointers to place my fingers better since I don't practice as much as I used to(I know I need to!) So this moment turned into a touching moment for me(I know cheesy...but true) as I thought my great-grandma may not be here for much longer but I just had the opportunity to remember what it was like to learn piano, to be taught by my mother, grandma and great-grandmother as I prepared for piano recitals(which by the

way great-grandma does not remember this..so funny to discuss that with her that she really did teach me at one point) and as we played I know my Redeemer lives.. wow.. I was so happy to be part of this moment and to have my husband and son behind me listening and talking to Jesse later and finding out he was touched too made me feel like this day was a good one and well spent. to love knowing that while we were playing Leah and Aub were talking in the kitch

en and my mom, siblings,sister in law,aunt, uncle were outside all enjoying the time together.

Simple Things

I had to blog this while its fresh in my mind..

Sometimes we get so busy doing things every day that we forget to soak up the slow moments or simple moments.

As I was watching Logan last night, he was playing with his toys and his hands slowly analyze a new toy or they find a new way to grab something. It hit me again..wow..we need to soak up more moments like this..

..when Logan just stares at Mommy & Daddy and we wish we knew what he was thinking(Probably thinking "Who are these weirdos I'm stuck with?")

..when Logan tries to grab my glasses like they are so cool when I get so annoyed by them and my bad vision

..Logan could spend most of the day rolling around and attempting the scoot, crawl and does not get bored of it and I can get bored in a minute.

..just watching Logan discover the world around him like when he found out he could turn light switches off and discovering cause and effect as he looks over to see where the light went... loved that..when we could think thats so silly.

..soaking up a rainy day like it was the first time you smelled rain when sometimes I complain about it

..waking up each day loving life and all we have

I don't know I guess the list could go on but children are great examples to teach and remind us. Soak up the simple things in life before they are gone or before we regret missing a moment or wished we had done more or loved more.

The simple things help us to bring it back to the things that matter.

6 months!

Now that my internet is working I can finally write this blog!... Logan is 6 months old! Time flies.. He is trying each day to attempt the crawl. He has been starting to roll since he was 3 months old so here is the next step to achieve. He pushes on his feet, bends his knees, pushes his bum in th air as he trys to push himself forward. But a lot of times he finds out sliding backwards is easier.(I heard a lot of babies do that.. funny) He gets frustrated, rolls over, and continues to roll to get the object he wants. He is moving everywhere and gets around pretty good that way. One second he is by a chair, the next second he has rolled over to our plant and is trying to reach over the edge to get the dirt. The other day I layed him down on his belly and he pushed up on his hands and toes like he was prepping for a pushup.. wow I was impressed.

We love watching him make bubbles with his mouth and make all kinds of noises that he has discovered with his mouth. I can't think of a name for it but when he blows and makes his lips move and vibrate. So cute! (anyone know the name for that??) Then the other day he was having fun with Grandma Deussen turning the lights on and off almost getting the pincer finger thing down..

Then for the nice day on Memorial Day, love those nice days. So we had to get out! We went to the park with Grandma Deussen, Aunts Aubrey, Chloe and Uncle Max to eat lunch, throw a football(ya Max can definetaly catch better than me), kick a soccer ball and let Logan kick his 1st soccer ball..he just might be a soccer player.. but after his 2nd kick he was done and started a cry. So we will keep him prepping to be a soccer player.

I love this face..

We all love getting Logan to laugh which we have to act pretty riciculous to get him going but its worth the wait to hear him laughing. He is having fun grabbing your face, and your hair (he has a good grip.. ouch..) Pretty soon we are going to have to lower the crib mattress before he pulls himself up one day. But we love going to see him in the morning when he wakes up to and is a rolling, smiling boy (yeah! he is a morning person like mommy..) all in all he can be pretty calm but then he can be a kicking kid on the ground just enjoying himself and I can only imagine what he might get into when he starts walking.. I tell Jesse I like how he is still somewhat immobile cuz once he starts walking its gonna be crazy..

Updates- Logan now weighs 16 lbs, is 27.3 inches so he is at the 75% in height and 25% in weight so we will see if those numbers actually stick as he gets older.. Jesse is saying Logan needs to be 6'4" to be a center for basketball.. funny he jokes about that..

5 Generations!

Logan is looking a little outnumbered by the girls here. It was so fun to finally get this picture done and see this lineup of generations. Logan obviously is just fascinated by the camera so he was not smiling much in any of the pictures. I love my mom and grandmas smiles here even though great grandma Glenna didn't smile in any either but this is my favorite. And this might sound funny but I love how Logan in every picture we took has his hand on his great grandma..I just think thats cool..Now we have this picture to have and remember forever. And to remember the memories passed down to each generation!

My First Mothers Day!

Wow! My first Mothers Day to realize first of all that I'm a mom (crazy once again..) and that I now am part of Mothers Day, to be so grateful for my mom and all she has done for me, to show appreciation to all the moms I know and look up to that are friends or family. I love this holiday for the sentimental value it makes us all remember again and to show appreciation to our moms and all they have taught us and the values they have instilled in us. I'm really starting to realize how important that is to do the same teaching to my own children what I know I need to teach. Mothers Day was a wonderful day filled with love and laughter! Starting with Jesse making me a big breakfast with bacon, biscuits, gravy and eggs..wow I was stuffed! Thanks babe I love you so much! then later dinner with my mom, Aub, Max and Chloe and of course Jesse and Logan. Yummy chicken enchiladas, apple pie, and Aubs 7 layer bar.. to die for of course.. that butterscotch gets me every time and then last but not least games with tons of laughter and good times. Oh ya I can't forget to mention, like old times, my sister and I sang and played at the piano like we used to and it really was a touching moment to sing songs that have so much meaning and really get you thinking about the good things in life and all that we have. It was so good to remember that since we need to be reminded so many times. It was just one of those days to treasure.

Bonds That Make Us Free

So I just finished this amazing book by C. Terry Warner. My grandma had recommended it. My husband had read some of it for a college class. So I had heard about it many times and finally started to read it. Well it took me a long time because its a lot to soak up and really understand and with a baby its not gonna happen as fast unless its nap time then i can read more. But it was so worth it and its better understood read slow. I'm gonna read it over and over again after some other books because he really means it as it says on the cover Healing our Relationships, Coming to Ourselves. Thats really what its all about and I have learned so much so I recommend it highly to all. It has changed how I think completely and makes me want to be that better person. So hopefully I can be and improve each day because it is possible. I really never believed in myself till now and the real possibility of a real change of heart.

Time goes by so fast...

So here it goes.. Jesse is starting a new job in a few weeks. Yeah! He will be doing sales, advertising and carpet cleaning. I'm so happy to see him start this new job and it will be so good! And a really good change for him. Logan will be 4 months tomorrow and we can hardly believe it! This little man has been such a blessing in our lives! He makes us smile, laugh and cry when he is sad. Now I realize what it really is like to be a mom and the stresses that come with it. He is rolling a little, talking a lot, and loving getting up and looking around. Needless to say he does not always like to lay down when we are standing. He already has a fav stuffed animal dog so far that Jesse named Rufus. Logan gets all excited when he sees it. It is the cutest thing! If I get around to figuring out how to put videos from the video camera up I might get some videos up of that... So the sad news it that we are finding out what its like when your 1st baby gets sick for the first time. Logan has RSV and it is not fun for him. Luckily I think we caught it quick enough that I think if we do well with his breathing treatments and his medications we can keep him well and out of the hospital. Jesse and his uncle Christian gave him a blessing sunday so I feel like all will be well and hopefully within a few weeks Logan will be back to normal and be able to breath normally. Luckily he still sleeps through the night and still acts happy when he is not coughing. So life is going good and I'm so happy to be a stay at home mom and take care of him. I'm realizing what a full time job that is and loving every minute of it!

Our little boy is growing up and getting bigger! I can't believe he is almost 2 months old already!(on Feb 1st) Every day brings new surprises. Like big messy diapers, not getting the diaper on fast enough and Logan sprays! We get lots of cuddles and we do love those cuddles, and now we are getting smiles. I have been trying and trying to get the smiles on camera and sometimes I kinda do. Well my sister Aubrey got some of the best ones we have caught on the camera. The first time a real one came out was when I had walked away then came back to talk to Logan and he gave me a big smile. He better know my voice by now! Finally I'm getting on since I now feel up to it... Having my first baby is craziness and I still can't believe we have a new addition to our family! Logan James Rooney blessed our lives with his little spirit on Dec. 1st, 2009. He weighed 7lbs 6oz 19 in. He has a load of dark hair as you can see like his daddy! I was imagining before he came a blondie or baldy. So when Jesse told me he was coming out with dark hair I was stoked that we were getting something I really did not expect! He has really long fingers and big feet like I did.. just ask my mom. She told me I had BIG feet when I was born. He really is a precious little boy and is so calm, most of the time. No he really is a good boy. He is a little squirmer though which might mean that he is not gonna like to sit still. Does that mean he will be an active boy always getting into trouble or finding the next best thing in the cupboards? I dunno. Everybody looking at this can tell me what the answer to that question might be. Well he also makes the cutest faces. I didn't realize how much fun it really would be just to stare at my child all day catching the cutest moments. Yup plus the moments that he has already squirted when we didn't quite have his diaper on. Well whatever the moment we are loving it and daddy is loving his little boy the second he gets home. Halloween 09

So for Halloween I decided to dress up my prego belly as the purple tellytubby. Yes the tellytubby. The classic television show where the things can barely talk normal and parents either loved or hated them. Personally when my mom made all the costumes a while ago I thought it was hilarious. So since tellytubbies have a belly with a screen on it I knew I could do it with my belly popping out more and more every day. I had a blast walking around with my little brother and sister. It was fun being with family and I was excited my little sister kept on asking me to go with them. So Jesse went as himself and I dressed up. My little bro was a sweet vampire with mega teeth that didn't quite fit in his mouth but that made them look even more sweet and scary! My sister was Cruella Deville and won first place for her costume at the middle school and tied with 3 others in choir!(thanks to Aubreys talented skills to help her look amazing with that hair, hope she had fun combing that out...ouch..) And Chloe's friend, Taytumn, wore our dress from di back in the day. (The place to go when in desperate need of a costume.) So pretty much thanks to better than normal weather it was fun to walk around with family and see them get scared by the houses that aim to scare the kids by sitting on the porch like a dummy and jumping up with an air horn when kids come up to the bowl, it was hilarious! Good ol' Halloween

yup so they came by our apartment later and thought we might have candy...well nope so they got bananas.

Baby Rooney!!

As most of you know, I am currently prego with a little baby boy Rooney. My due date is December 4th so with the time getting closer and closer it calls for celebration. On October 15th, I got to have a baby shower thrown by younger sister Aubrey. It was at my moms place and all my friends, family, and wardies were invited. There ended up being a TON of ladies there. It was super fun to get to see the people I love the most all in one room to celebrate my new big belly. I got so many cute things and I am so grateful for it. I definitely wouldn't have been able to get all that stuff by myself. The shower got me way more excited to see the little one floating in my stomach.
